Apply for IMRD

The application for the International Master of Science in Rural Development (IMRD) is conducted in two phases. First you will check whether you meet the general admission requirements for the programme. Next you can submit your application via the Oasis application tool. The application for scholarships are done within the Oasis application.

Choosing your IMRD track and focus area will be done in the Oasis tool. Before going further, we advise you to read our programme and course content first.

DEADLINES

Applications for the September 2025 intake are open from 1st October 2024!

Non-EEA citizens applying for a scholarships managed by the IMRD consortium, need to complete the online application in Oasis before 01 March 2025.

Non-EEA citizens who need a visa must complete the application before 01 April 2025.

Non-EEA citizens living in Belgium with a valid residence permit or EEA citizens, that are not applying for a scholarship, must complete the application before 01 June 2025.

IMRD mobility tracks

Students can obtain the IMRD degree through one of 5 mobility tracks:

IMRD

  • Erasmus Mundus track
  • VLIR-UOS track

Following one of the IMRD tracks leads to the awarding of a joint degree: International Master of Science in Rural Development.

IMRD+

Following one of the IMRD+ tracks leads to the awarding of a double degree. The joint degree: International Master of Science in Rural Development. A second degree depending on which university you go to:
